The med student getting squeaky-voiced on ER last night scraped up a memory of a movie I saw 15-20 years ago, in which the climactic shoot-out scene involved helium.

The gunfight took place in a warehouse holding floats and balloons for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. A bullet hit a helium tank, and pretty soon, the place was full of helium, making everyone talk like chipmunks.

Anyone remember this and know what the movie is?

Yes. The movie was “Broadway Danny Rose” with Woody Allen and Mia Farrow. It came out around 1984.
