Yes, folks, the “weirdest title people” (more formally known as “the Diagram Prize”) have annouced this year’s- er, last year’s winning words.

The 2009 victor is Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes, by Dr. Daina Taimina. Runners-up included “Collectible Spoons of the Third Reich”, “What Kind of Bean is This Chihuahua?”, and “The Changing World of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.”

I remember seeing this one Fighting Helicopters of the 20th Century and figuring it must be a lot more interesting than the first nineteen volumes in the series.
