It’s good to know we have friends.
One thing people don’t realize is that hundreds of Brits died in the WTC. As their PM said, it’s their worst terrorist attack as well, greater than any single bomb of the IRA.
It has misted me up to see so many people in the world, so many countries, expressing their condolences and promising to help in whatever ways they can. The nations that have tended to be supportive of us in the past have been incredible in the extent of their empathies. Astonishingly, many nations I would’ve figured would be indifferent or even inclined to say "serves ya right " have also condemned the terrorists and commiserated with us.
I keep feeling like Sally Field… “You LIKE us, you really LIKE us!!”
