For starters he said he would not have gone after Bin Laden in Pakistan. If somebody is unwilling to kill the greatest enemy of this country, he is unfit to be Commander in Chief.
Our nation is great because of adopting the best ideas of both Hamilton and Jefferson. Hamilton had better economic ideas fit for an industrializing nation but he has an aristocratic/Toryish view of government while Jefferson’s ideas of democracy were spot on but he believed America must forever remain a country of small farmers.
I suppose if there were sufficient time remaining, Ron Paul’s support could do one of those sub-orbital flights like Trump’s, Perry’s, Cain’s, and Gingrich’s. But even a brief turn as frontrunner would convince most Republicans that he’s not a very good anti-Romney either.
Buddy Roemer is a former governor of Louisiana, has been on Maddow a couple times in the last few months, and is basically running on a platform of campaign finance reform. I believe he went to OWS a couple times to talk with people there about his interest in CFR. He has no chance in the derpfest that is the current Republican primary voting.
Gary Johnson is a former governor of New Mexico, pretty libertarian, and was a fairly popular governor at the time. All his air is sucked up by Ron Paul, although I would say that Johnson would be more electable in a general election as he’s more liberal on social issues than Paul and doesn’t say all the wacky things Paul says. While I would not vote for him against Obama, I might have voted for him back in 2002 against Richardson if he hadn’t been term-limited. I know several people who didn’t really like him 10-20 years ago who would take him over Martinez now in a heartbeat. Again, even if he hadn’t been excluded from most of the debates, he’s got no chance in this sort of electorate.
Well, then, you are “unfit” to make judgement at all. It’s like me saying I don’t like rap music style at all and then go on and specifically single one rapper and pile on. You should do as I do - stay away from rap debate completely b/c you simply don’t have a basis for it. It’s very simple actually.
Wow, thanks. That was informative. So, are these guys really running? Are they just so far down in the polls that they don’t get invited to the debates?
Former Louisiana governor, big on campaign finance reform. Supposedly not raising enough money for the debates, but apparently they’ve been changing the qualifications to keep him out.
Former New Mexico governor, pretty libertarian. You’d probably like him if I read your politics correctly.
Note that both of these guys have gubernatorial experience, unlike Santorum, Bachmann, Gingrich, & Cain.
ETA: see someone else covered that. Yes, they are really running.
