Wow. What an astonishing number of posts… and what an astonishingly low signal-to-noise ratio. I think he’s about one more dose of whatever he’s having away from exhorting us all to FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER.
I need to go get some air – reading his posts makes me feel like I have been huffing paint.
VCO3 has manfully stepped into the breach, wholeheartedly agreeing with him in the “Doctors” thread. As someone pointed out, having VCO3 on your side is a sure sign that it’s time for a cup of tea and a lie down in a darkened room.
Speed don’t mean dick and life don’t grow in a vacuum. If he rapid-fires 1000 posts and pays no attention to the response, he’s just jerking off in an empty field on a cloudy midnight under the hidden gaze of the new moon.
So although Quentin Tarantino is most assuredly not a great man, his films do apparently provide infallible guidance re certain customary social graces…
He was angry at the world for no discernable reason. He spouted vagaries and condemned entire groups of people for the perceived wrongs of a few. He yelled, shouted, cussed, screamed, and whined until someone paid attention to him, and then proceeded to use anti-logic to defend his regurgitated viewpoints. He never once backed down and admitted he might be wrong, and he argued vehemently for his cause when everyone else knew the cause, if there ever was one, was long ago lost; despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Eventually he pissed off the wrong people and they made him eat his teeth.
I’m not saying that’s what should happen to poor, misguided andrewt85, I’m just saying.
Hang out our banners on the outward walls;
The cry is still, ‘He posts!’ .
Still wondering why his thread was locked, and irked that Mods get the final word in every thread. Jesus Christ, just what the fuck does it take to make you shut the fuck up? Stop starting these fucking stupid threads every five minutes! Fuck!
I think (based on my own experience) 15% is more usual in the US, with the tips going up to 20% or higher if the person did something ‘above and beyond’ during the meal.
(If you’re wondering why tips are higher here, it may be that the base pay is lower and they need more in tips to make a decent wage. I always thought that system sucked more ass than a mosquito at a nudist colony.)
10-15% is the accepted norm, with 10% for sub-par service and 15% for good service. It can be upped to 20%, but in my experience 15% is always a pretty good tip. If the service was ho-hum about 12% is a fair enough tip.
Oh please, pretty please don’t turn this thread into a hijack about tipping. I think there’s a slight possibilty that there may be older threads that cover the subject that would educate csharpmajor. The pittee hasn’t even graced us with his presence and I’m ever so much looking forward to it.
