I’ll put in a good word for Scott Plaid, too. I think he’s shaped up and improved a lot in recent months.

You know, there’s a reason the NFL banned end goal celebrations after a touchdown. They had taken an ugly turn towards taunting. In the interests of fairness, I’d like to point out that taunting someone who clearly needs to learn messageboard etiquette in itself is not the sort of etiquette he needs to learn. Being gracious is a sign of maturity in my opinion.
There’s every chance Andrew is just stting back and reading this thread… and pondering all the feedback. There’s every chance he’s actually learning a thing or two. If he were to post here now, the tone would change without doubt. Lots of personal attacks etc. Nobody learns a thing when they’re being attacked at a personal level. I’m surprised how often people forget that fact before they go off on some scathing flame fest.

However, he didn’t start THIS Pit Thread - and I can understand why he would choose to sit this one out. My position isn’t an unreasonable one. This Pit Thread is designed specifically to trash the dude. Maybe it’ll help him, maybe it won’t. I’m not going to take a bet either way - nonetheless, his choice to NOT enter this thread is a wise one… in my personal opinion.
So what are you saying? That because you don’t approve of my style, that my position is automatically not worthy? If somebody (who you respected) had said what I said in my last post, would you have a different position? If not, then why did you feel the need to add what you did?
Yeah, I agree as well. As one of the first people on the Dope to call him an asshole, I have to admit he’s cleaned up his act quite a bit.

However, disregarding the recent discourse between Guin and myself, I think the Scott Plaid case validates my position. Namely, there’s always hope a rough diamond will come out of a pitting. I think Andrew deserves not to be dragged in here leading with his chin. Let him sit back and hopefully learn.
There is always hope. I don’t know the **Scott Plaid ** case, he has seemed okay to me. Where I do remember him it was positive or neutral. Guess the bad stuff was before I joined. Andrew has sounded rational in many threads, just not this weekend or today.
As someone said, if he hadn’t started the Doctor thread and the Wiki thread so badly, maybe more people would have agreed and discussed things with him.
In the Wiki thread it actually turned into a calm debate.

Sure it would. I would have had more respect for him if he’d had the stones to come in and stand up for himself or debate the matter earlier on. Starting another thread to defend himself, when he must have been aware of the existence of this one - the very point of which is that he starts too many dumb threads - only goes to illustrate my original point here better than I could. And if he didn’t come in here because the attacks were too scathing - well, my heart bleeds. This is the Pit. Don’t post dumb shit in this forum and expect not to get called on it.
