Android annoyer... what's up?

So alla sudden my Galaxy Note II has started going off with a screaming pop song at (suspiciously) 4:20 am. Two days now, and the timing is such that I lose an hour of sleep trying to get back to sleep. At least once it’s overridden a silent mode.

No alarms are set. The only audio notification I found is MLB At Bat, and I’ve had that for two years without it doing anything particularly annoying. (Updates happen, yeah.)

No suspicious apps in the list or installed or running.

I suspect:

  1. An app update that’s added a Feature.
  2. Malware.
  3. My punk 15yo, who’s had his hands on it recently to run a guitar-tuning app.

…but it’s eluded me in a pretty careful scan of all the places such things hide.

Clues, anyone? If I get blown out of bed by a squalling pop diva again you might be reading about it on Headline News.

Look in the Calender for an alarm set to repeat every day.

At 4:20, huh? :slight_smile: Sounds like someone’s idea of a joke, or malware.

Check the system alarms too (swipe down on the status bar, tap the time, and select one of the cities that pops up…this will give you access to several tabs, one of which is “alarms”).
