Android power save mode; how to undo?

So after three or four years of carrying Android phones, I found myself in a situation where my battery life was dropping and I needed a couple more hours before I could get to a charger. So on the alert message at around 20%, I tapped “Save Power.”

My effin’ Note II hasn’t worked right since. That option seems to have turned off every ancilliary feature - screen rotation, email check, screen brightness, etc. endlessly. I keep fixing settings but I can’t, for example, seem to make K9 Mail go back to automatically checking - I go hours before I realize I haven’t seen any new stuff, and a manual check brings in a dozen.

Other than by laboriously working through every setting I can think of, is there some quick way to undo this “shut off every useful feature so that your now brick-like phone will keep working (for certain limited values of “working”) a little longer”?

Menu–>Settings–>My Phone–>Power Saving Mode–>there’s a slider button for on and off, but you can also tap it for more options. It’s likely set to “always on” rather than “auto enable.”
