Angel 11/10 - "Do you have any weed?"

But in flash backs both on Ats and BtVS we’ve seen Angel speak something resembling Irish accent.
Maybe it was a joke, him being upset that his voice didn’t sound the way he remembered it from being 17, or whichever way all these timelines are supposed to be described. You know what I mean.

Had to love the spell being some kind of mystic version of spin the bottle. No wonder it reverted them to teenagers!

It’s the white pants, people. Unless you’re as thin as Fred, white pants will do you no favors in the wardrobe department.

Well, yes Judith.
But why only loose clothes? CC has always had very snug outfits, sporting her tatoo. Not once during this season.
Her own comments, as Cordy, when lifting her boobs was: “I have filled out…”

The real question, of course, is whether The Tim finished his take home test? Well?
Also thirdshiftgrottoslack you may want to try the “Shift” button. It does neat things like capitalize words-- honest!

Yes I finished it, thanks for asking elf6c. I handed it in yesterday and told the professor I didn’t want to look at it anymore and he tossed it straight in the trash. Then he waited a second laughed and said, “I suppose I should have waited for you to leave before doing that.” then picked it up. Funny guy and a fairly hard test especially as it was the first thing assigned for the class. Watching Angel picked up my mood to the point where I was able to finish it.

Anyway to get back on topic I’m not sure that CC would get breast implants and if she did if she would then agree to a joke about her filling out even more. I felt bad for Fred when she said, “I guess I never do.” She sounded pretty bummed about it, but she shouldn’t because she has a pretty bum.

As for the Pylea infested with English all I can think is that they have a connection to our world. Remember the Wolf, Ram and Heart books? It may be that they have learnt English as a language of trade and to yell at cows with. Or it may be that I’m making up lame excuses, which are only vaguely better than a translation spell.

Yeah, Boreanz can do an Irish accent. I don’t think him not having an accent was just for the joke, but instead was part of the whole “body in present, brain in past” thing. I’d wager that a larynx that has spoken without a particular accent for decades/centuries would be trained not to speak with that accent.

Sua

Erg… No. He. Can’t.

He can do a good imitation of Tom Cruise imitating an Irish accent though.

A little is better than nothing at all.

AAAUGGH!!
I feel like the bald kid in the Peanuts cartoons whenever Lucy swipes the ball.

The local station decided this week was the perfect time to AIR ANGEL AN HOUR EARLIER!!!
So I never saw the show-- and had no warning whatsoever.
BASTARDS WHO RUN THAT CANADIAN STATION! I’LL HAVE THEIR HEADS! EVEN IF I HAVE TO SAIL TO THEIR LITTLE ISLAND AND HUNT THEM DOWN INDIVIDUALLY!

The “Bald Kid”???

That’s how a few of the characters refer to Charlie Brown sometimes. Quite similar to “that other guy” that used to run with Warren and Jonathan.

Ah. You mean Chuck.

First of all, Charisma is NOT fat. Stand a bean pole next to Fred and it will look like a fat cow. Secondly, Angel’s accent violated my mind. Other than that the episode was absolutely perfect. Joss Whedon is a briliant god!

Good episode. Many very amusing moments. But… since when is Connor 18? Wasn’t he 14 last season? He should be 15.

Looking forward to the apocalypse!

I am so grateful that we weren’t subjected to an entire hour of Angel’s “Irish” accent. Holy hell, that’s horrible. The combination of mustache and accent in Amends about gave me nightmares.

Also, there is a rumor (well, not so much a rumor. A report from the set of AtS) flying around the interent that Charisma Carpetner, is indeed, pregnant, and that the pregnancy will be written into the show.
I think he might be 18 now so that it won’t be illegal if he becomes a father…(That’s just spec, I’m not spoiled for Angel like I am for Buffy.)

All you people who love Spike, I have some solid info from David Fury of ME:
Fury says:
(Sat Nov 16 01:24:14 2002)

Yes, Spike appears for approximately 16.8 minutes in Tuesday’s episode. Longer if you have a slo-mo button on your remote.

The OMG moment occurs around the twelve minute mark.
From here.

Avoid the site, in case you don’t want spoilage.

sorry - this should’ve been in the buffy thread.
