Just to beat you all to the punch, I don’t mean Eve the SDMBer. Although I’ve heard she’s quite attractive as well.
Anyway, in this thread, there seems to be a lot of complaining about what a lousy actress she is and how unattractive she is.
Seriously though, I think her acting is fine, and I think she’s hot as hell. Am I really the only one?
No, it seems to be a delusion shared by the casting director as well. It’s OK, just lie down and think of Vampire Willow for a while. We won’t tell anybody.

She’s cute, and I don’t think she’s a bad actress, either. I thought a lot of the wooden-ness about her was a character trait. Eve seems a little…non-human, Earth-based college credentials aside.
There’s obviously more to her than they’re letting on.

I don’t find her attractive. She could be, but she has a certain I’m-sucking-on-a-really-sour-lemon expression on her face that really turns me off.
I don’t have a judgment on her acting, but her performances are rather low-key. They tend to dial down the energy level of any scene she’s in, and that’s probably bad.
And hey, listen up, Joss Whedon: without taking anything away from Sarah (Michelle Gellar), Alyson, Julie, Juliet, Mercedes and now Sarah (Thompson), there are lovely women out there who aren’t tiny little waifs.
Yeah, yeah, Charisma is voluptuous and has some delightful meat on her bones, but that’s one, against all the above. I’m tired of it.
Eve’s pretty, but I don’t find her attractive. And the actress just doesn’t have the chops to pull off the role.
She might not be beautiful…but Eve is undeniably hubba-hubba-hubba S-E-X-Y. I can’t exactly put my finger on why…but watching her brings out some primitive urges…
Eve’s ok to look at, maybe a bit skinny, but I think she’s a crappy actress. I let it go for her first few eps, hoping she’d grow into the role, but no such luck. She’s gotta go. Bring back Lilah!

Amber Benson, you’re forgetting Amber Benson. She’s like, actually regular-human sized, even.
I think Amber’s still on the slim side of normal, but they insisted on dressing her in big saggy outfits for some reason.
I find Eve to be objectively pretty, but her performance has no levels, and it bugs me. I miss Lilah.
I think Sarah Thompson is rather cute, and she may even be a great actress, but I have issues with Eve. She annoys me. I get chills every time she says “kids” or “kiddos”, which happens to be A LOT.
I think it’s a case of poor casting. I think the character Eve would be much better played by someone like Stephanie Romanov. Sarah’s a bit too cutsy, and childlike to be able to pull of the seductive, confident, high-powered lawyer-type that I think they’re trying to do with Eve.
So, I have nothing against the actress, and I like the character (especially after the most recent developments), I just think Eve would be much better played by a different actress.

Every time I see her, I can’t stop thinking of her character on Boston Public. Who I hated. And I hate Eve. So it’s like a double whammy of annoyance.
I hope Angel kills her soon. That’ll be satisfying.

I really think Sarah is too weak an actess to pull of a character like Eve. Even James Marsters, who carried SMG through most of BTVS S6, who can make a freaking door seem hot, couldn’t make her look good in that elevator scene “Lineage”.
And in that bit where she stripped and climbed into bed with Lindsey, they showed a glimpse of her thighs, and they looked like freaking twigs. My ankles are bigger around than that. My Joss, Lindsey must be covered with bruises if he’s been shagging her.
