One day I was performing at a gig in the park. When we went on break, this man came up to me and said their band was looking for a singer. There was an instant electrical connection. He was such a hottie and the guitar player in our band knew him and said he was a nice person, so I agreed to check out one of their rehearsals.

That night, after it was over, he called me. We talked until nearly dawn. He told me that there was just something about me and he knew that in some kind of way I was meant to be important in his life.

We will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary in June.

I told my wife long ago that should she ever leave me, get run over by a dumptruck, get left on the reef by an irresponsible dive boat - whatever - that I would never date or marry again. I simply don’t believe it’s possible to replace a lifelong partner with a new model.

She, OTOH, says she’ll pull my plug, sign the DNR orders, and start looking for someone younger and richer on the way home from my funeral.
