Animal Lovers Hurry! Hurry!

I spent two hours watching that show. I feel cheated that I didn’t watch Dukes of Hazzard or Judge Mathis re-runs.

SHARK-O-PATH? SHARK-O-PATH??? Are they fucking kidding? Who came up with these names? I was really expecting to see Troy McClure pop up at any minute:

“Hi, I’m troy McClure, you may remember me from such animal documentaries as *The Wacky Mishaps of the Slender Loris * and Dung Beetle: The Adventure Begins.”

Yes, I was cracking up at that as well. They will throw acorns and rocks at the MEGASQUID who moves on land and tries to steal their young.

Crap, that was the worst show I have seen in quite a while.

I thought it was VERY enjoyable…if you try to ignore the scientific/realistic aspects of it…and the names…ESPECIALLY the names. Overall though, I liked it alot and called everyone I knew and had them watch it.

Vote for your fav creature on my thread.

HRM, I guess I enjoyed it because I approached it with the thought taht it was Fiction written with a little bit a help from scientists.

Also, I was disapointed that they didn’t mention anything about any highly sentient species evolving, that they didn’t mention anything about the outcome of how we are currently treating our enviroment, and that they didn’t explore the fact that roaches are very good survivors and would probably replaces us if humanity ever gets wiped out.

Well, since I don’t believe in evolution; if I were going to watch it, it would be strictly for fictional entertainment purposes, like science fiction.

Eh, you don’t have to believe in evolution, as you would religion. It’s proveable and testible, which is much better in my opinion. I suggest you open your can of worms in a Great Debate thread.

Yeah, whatever you say. I still don’t believe it and don’t care what scientists say they have or haven’t proven. How do I know they didn’t do their studies from a preconceived belief of evolution or are interpreting their findings correctly? By the way, it isn’t a can of worms, I’m giving my opinion on something. That’s all I have to say.

You believe what you want, my point is your rhetoric in equating evolution to fictional sci-fi has the potential for opening a can of worms.

Your ignorance on the topic astounds me. That’s all I have to say.

I didn’t care for the way everything had to be “bigger and better” than the things today. I also felt the idea that we as humans had moved away from the earth instead of having died off limited it and made the show somewhat too “perky.” The animals didn’t seem very “scientific” to me.

As was mentioned in another thread (bad form I know, but it bears repeating) go read After Man for some good future evolution (though reading about someone matter-of-factly discussing what happens after man was a bit disconcerting).

And “shark-o-path”? Pretty silly. It all sounded like a trailer for an "attempting to be “cool” movie, so much so that whenever they were describing an animal, I cringed when they said “extreme.”

Lame. That’s all I have to say.

I watched the entire show waiting for them to deal with a particular type of creature - the kind that would go into a squibbon nest and claim having only two arms is better, or go runnning up to the silver spiders and proclaim loudly that they liked it better when the hairless apes were in charge. Or something else stupid, like coming into a thread about a show on possible evolutions just so say that they don’t believe in evolution.

I was pretty sure these types of creatures would still exist 200 million years from now. I was hoping the takeoff blasts from humanity’s colony ships would destroy the bridges they hid under.
Looks like instead they’re more durable than the cockroach.

There’s this little thing called ‘peer review’… Oh yeah, all those big bad scientists are atheists, aren’t they? (Actually, the answer to that rhetorical question is NO.)

Do you also have an opinion on Einstein’s theory of relativity? Any problems with that, personally? Since obviously you have no SCIENTIFIC basis for your ‘opinion’. Heh. Opinions on scientific theorums

Oh yeah. This show does look somewhat - fantastical - in my humble opinion

But, but, but…it’s just a theory
