Animated shows where the characters change outfits regularly?

Nobody in the show, except Yuki does. And she’s rarely out of her school uniform.

The Endless Eight arc of the second season shows them in a number of different outfits - all while living out essentially the same events multiple times. The similarity of events really points out the dissimilarity of their outfits - the yukatas the girls wear, particularly.

The jacket she’s wearing in the first link reminds me of Vash’s jacket in Trigun.

I’ve been watching a lot of Bleach lately, and I’ve noticed that Ichigo and his friends tend to wear different outfits when not fighting or attending school. Rukia wears some pretty cute dresses over the course of the series. In the second episode, one of my favorite scenes is when Ichigo’s little sister (age 11) goes into his room to ask if he’s seen a dress of hers and a pair of her pajamas. After she leaves, Rukia emerges from Ichigo’s closet, much to his surprise, wearing his sister’s pajamas (hey, she’s 4’8", of course they fit).

Padme Amidala is just as much a clotheshorse in the cartoons as she is in the movies:

Uncanny Valley!!!

Rob from the “Get Fuzzy” comic routinely changes his outfits too.

Centurions.

Costume changes were part of the schtick.

Although she mostly wore her green jacket, skirt and boots outfit, didn’t Daria change ocassionally. Or was that just to show how she never changed?

I wasn’t a great watcher of the show, by the way, so I’m not really sure.

Only very rarely, and usually just as a one-time thing. Probably not more than most cartoon characters change their clothes, and for the same reasons.

This is actually made more amusing by the fact that Daria’s sister, and her own group of friends, were a bunch of obsessive fashion mavens…but only changed their default outfits every couple of seasons, at most!

Not a TV show, but I was impressed that the third game in the Gabriel Knight series from Sierra included clothing changes. The game is set over three days, and at least one of the protagonists (Grace) changes clothes each day. Nothing fancy, just different shirts and slacks. IIRC Gabriel himself wears the same jeans and only changes his shirt once, but that’s consistent with the character.

Totally Spies!

Very true.

And very clothes-obsessed.

Pretty much all superhero animated shows that I know of. For whatever reason, they take great pains with civilian clothes, often sending them to places with adverse weather (very hot, very cold, very windy, etc.) just to be able to draw them in different clothes, like bikini’s, earmuffs, etc. I think this is a reaction to having them draw their superhero images constantly, so the animators try to take a break and give them different things to draw.

Spiderman, for example, has a full 4 season wardrobe for Peter Parker in every incarnation I’ve seen him in, and he often is sent to the beach, boat trips, etc. where he and his companions have to wear swimming suits.

The exceptions to these may be Superman, who usually is shown wearing a blue suit (since he’s a reporter) and Batman, who is rarely shown out of costume.

On the other hand, there’s Tony Stark, who has a different Iron Man costume for different villains.

The first link is fan art.

The second photo, showing Daria in a Quinn-like outfit, was a one time “snap Quinn out of it outfit” when Quinn decided to turn “deep” for an episode- “Quinn the Brain,” I think it’s called.

I think Daria had to wear a bridesmaid’s dress at some point, and didn’t she wear something else in the paintball episode?

I haven’t watched it in a while but the Venture Brothers has a few characters who regularly change clothes in each episode - Brock Samson has a number of different regular outfits. Hank and Dean also wear different clothes when needed, like when they dressed up as ninjas to sneak into a hotel, if I remember right (I think it was from season 1).

On one of the dvd commentary tracks, Doc Hammer or Jackson Publick remarks that he hates how cartoons always wear the same thing, hence Brock having a rotating wardrobe. Doctor Venture changes outfits occasionally, and the boys wearing the same thing all the time is an intentional gag on how removed from reality they are. The rest of the cast is usually in costume.

What bugged me were characters on G.I. Joe whose costumes included grenades that were never actually used for anything.

God, finally! I thought I was the only one that bugged.

It was even worse when they’d get taken captive and locked up (sometimes even in one of those old west jail style cells with the open bars) with a full bandolier of explosives. :smack:

On Daria the girls would have different clothes on several occasions: fashion shows, camping trips, weddings etc. Also during the end credits of every show all of the major characters would be shown as different alter-egos in unusual dress and occupations.

Oh yeah. I forgot about Daria. Well, I thought of it briefly because I know they changed Quinn’s t shirt at one point.

I did love the end credits, though! And clicking those links makes me wish the DVDs for the show were out already.

Clearly you don’t understand accessorizing, sweetie.
