I have a bit of an odd question…does anyone know offhand of any anime works (series, movie, whatever) that at some point show a side view of an American B-29 bomber?
Barefoot Gen comes to mind, but it’s been awhile since I’ve seen it, so I don’t remember if the angle’s right or not.
So…does anything come to mind?

The only one I can think of that might possibly have any is Grave of the Fireflies. Don’t recall either way.
What do you need it for?
A fanart/photoshop project, actually. I was going to insert an image of the bomber over a background cell from another cartoon.
You might have quicker/better results taking a picture or diagram of a B-29 and applying some filters to it.
The image here, run through The Gimp’s Artistic->Cartoon filter at default settings would satisfy my low standards. Of course, if the object is to use actual anime/manga stills, then… good luck!
There’s a short scene near the end of Cowboy Bebop the movie involving some vintage aircraft; IIRC they were mostly smaller craft, but I could be wrong.
And here I thought people in Japan only knew what B-29s looked like from underneath… :dubious:
I think ‘legend of the overfiend’ had a B-29 in the beginning.
