I hope Wally has a fast and full recovery. His good humor and positive demeanor has racked him up an awful lot of good karma points in his karma bank. so I’m sure he’ll have no trouble making a small withdrawal for a fast recovery, to regail us with the tales of his life.
Poor Wally! I hope the Putzmeister gets well without any complications. You’ll all be in my thoughts. Keep us up to date how he’s doing. I wish Wally a speedy recovery!
A terrible fall at work, you say? Hmmm, must have been some real putz responsible for that. I’m sure that as soon as Wally gets better, the putz in question will be hearing all about it… Anyhow, Amy, you just march on up to that hospital and tell your dad to get well soon, 'cause if he dies, I’ll… I’ll kill him!

Let me add my good wishes as well. The hospital is not a fun place to be.
Please let Wally know that I’ve called ths hospital, and have arranged for some “Special Sponge Baths” from a couple of the more morally challenged candy stripers there.
Does he prefer Blondes, Brunettes, Redheads, Blackettes(?), or silver foxes?
Amy I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I mainly lurk but I do enjoy your fathers posts. Please tell him that he is so important here he has even pulled the lurkers out to post.
And to you lurkers, if you like wally just log in once to let him know. Then we can sulk back into the shadows and keep watching. 
Better still, Amy, tell Wally that Ed Zotti himself spontaneously sent good wishes, and aha’s so dumbfounded he’s taken up bungee jumping without a cord.

When I saw the “Wally got hurt” on the SD page, I was expecting a broken leg or something like that (which would be bad enough). My best wishes are with both of you and your family.

Yet another reason to adore the SDMB: Despite how much one may disagree with anyone else, we really do like and respect each other as people. And this unabashed outpouring of love and support from a normally cynical and prickly bunch – it almost brings tears to my eyes.
