Somebody go to the game and shut this idiot up. I cannot tell if it a kid or a woman, but the person has the most annoying high-pitch voice. Fox must have a mic right next to this person.

I was watching a game on NBC once where there was a similar issue. The audio mixer for Sunday Night Football actually posts on the AVS Forum board. An early report of something like that, especially if it’s in the rear surrounds, can sometimes get the problem fixed at halftime.

Yeah, that screeching was annoying as hell – but I overcame it by imagining it was that Saints fan “Fuck Da Eagles” girl. I couldn’t make out any actual words, so I don’t know if she was pro- or anti-Eagles, but I’m going to stick with what my imagination tells me.

As someone who once spent the longest nine innings of his life at an Astros game seated next to a woman who punctuated every single positive occurrence for the home team (base hits, walks, running to first base without falling down, catching popups etc.) with an ear-splitting “Whoooo-HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”, I will point out that at home, you can turn the sound off and if you like, substitute radio play-by-play if you think you’re missing something.
