Just curious, but is there a way turn off the pop-ups that show up when you run the cursor over the title of the thread on the main page of each forum? I just find them annoying.

They are a CSS “feature.”
Standard equipment with all(?) modern browsers these days.
FWIW, as web sites begin to adopt standards-compliance and accessibility, you will see much more of them, and not fewer.

Nothing to do with CSS. They’re called “tooltips” and are standard HTML. If you really find them annoying, you can disable them.
