It’s an upscale grocery chain in the northeast, if I am not mistaken. My wife used to write copy for the people who published their magazine (the one you get if you spend more than 560 bucks at the store, I beleive it is called “Hannaford FRESH”).
Anyhow, I have heard rumours that the format has changed, and wondered if they are publishing in-house now. If so, I am trying to get my wife to write them to see if they would be interested in havging her write copy again. They always gae her good feedback on her copy, it was just the old publishing company she had a falling out with. Since we’re still friends with some of the people who run the publishing company, we don’t want to steal business from them, but if it’s someone else, the gloves are off
Anyhow, bottom line is, if you have gotten a FRESH magazine recently, could you e-mail me to let me know who the editor, publisher, etc are? e-mail is in my profile.
Um, ok, you get the magazine if you spend more than 50 bucks. Having to spend 560 bucks for groceries to get the magazine would be a little limiting on their circulation.
I do shop at Hannaford’s, but not that much (I prefer Price Chopper.) However, I don’t recall ever seeing or getting a magzine, and I wonder how one does it. Hannaford knows nothing about my personal information, because it’s one of the few grocery stores that does NOT have any kind of ‘value card,’ that you need to get discounts and such. So how do people’s name and addresses get on file for this magazine?
They have them in a couple stands throughout the store and by the checkout lines. The cover says “$2.00 or free with the purchase of $25 or more.” I just throw one in the basket and go from there. Of course I assume they’re not charging me for it…
It’s actually surprisingly good for what it is, and of course, it will be much better after Mrs. Crazyjoe starts writing for them again.
