Anonymous e-payment system

Are there any e-payment systems (like PayPal) where one can receive money without the person sending it getting ones real name?

It concerns me privacy wise that someone gets my real name when they transact with me, eg for eBay via PayPal or whatever, given that I appear to be the only person in the world with my name. With my real name, one page of Google hits will rapidly reveal my company name, my job title, my location, my photo, my work email, the lot.

This greatly bothers me for obvious reasons of privacy and security.

Alternatively do banks allow people to open accounts in aliases/other names?

Failing all this I suppose I am stuck with asking for gift vouchers in lieu of payment.

Yes. You can open an account “Doing Business As” Posh Spice, or whatever you want to be called as long as you use your correct SSN.
