Another Bug Identification Request

I’ve been feeding my tortoise some worms that I bought at the local feed store. I think they’re called ‘superworms.’ When I went to clean her tank today, I found a bunch of these guys (WARNING: Big Black Bug™ in sharp detail) crawling around in her substrate (the bark-like bedding material). What are they? Are the worms their larvae?

Wouldn’t make a difference. My turtles would eat them too. And my fingers seem pretty tasty.

That’s why I love this place. You learn something new and cool every day. I rounded all the little buggers up and fed them to the bearded dragons.
