Not even slightly. I rarely eat eggs, but chicken is one of my favourite foods.
Nope, but I have to ask the obligatory question, who has tried balut? I hear it tastes like a cross between chicken and egg.
Wow, I never before knew that so many people noticed a similarity. Who would have thought?
Chalk another up in the No column for me.
This would have made a fun poll though…
Whereabouts in the chicken are they manufactured though?
It occurs to me that maybe I’m unusual in the way that I consume chicken. I quite often eat plain roasted (that is, oven-baked) whole chicken. I know I wouldn’t be able to taste (what I perceive to be) the similarity in chicken served in any kind of gravy sauce, batter, coating etc.
I primarily notice it if I’m eating the greasy dark meat of an oven-baked bird - usually while I’m picking over a carcass to separate bones (for stock) from leftover meat, and snaffling a bit as I go.
