Another composer question: "Midnight" from Monkees' "Pool It"

I’m loading up the Monkees’ “Pool It” onto iTunes (Yeah, okay, probably one of the least listened to discs in my collection, but what can I say? I’m a bit of a completist)

The song “Midnight” is credited to David. I can’t seem to find this David’s given name. Any ideas?

I suppose it might be Hal David or Mack David, both prolific pop composers. Anyone know if either wrote a song called “Midnight”?

Assuming this pdf is complete, it wasn’t Hal.
