Another Computer Question...

Since I can no longer use Bluelight (they are having access problems), I have reverted back to AOL. (so bite me, I know… :)) Here’s my problem. I cannot see any images, just the blank square with the red x. If I click on the x, I am occasionally instructed to insert the BlueLight CD and type in the correct path for IE5, or more often, nothing happens at all. I can see photos people send me in email. Show pictures & all that are checked.

So, two part question…what the heck is the “correct path” for IE5, and is this actually the problem?

I’m stumped, help! Thanks.

Path means what directory a given program resides. In your case, the computer is looking for where IE5 is located. This is going to vary on which version of Windows you are using. But, you can verify this by going to your Find feature in your Programs menu (on the Start button).

In the find field, type in iexplore.exe, and it’ll show you the directory that it is in. Once you find the directory, type that in where it is asking for the correct path. I’m not sure if this is what the problem is, but it might help.
