This time it’s the State Department. In a big story that broke last night/this morning, it turns out that [url="http://www.humanevents.com/2013/06/11/more-on-the-state-department-scandal-cover-up/"the US ambassador to Belgium allegedly frequents underage prostitutes. Apprarently, the State Deparment (under Hillary Clinton) squashed the invesigation, along with invesigations into other misdoings by State Depatment officials.
I’ll say, wow. People were sceaming for blood when it was revealed that the Catholic Church was protecting pedophiles. I wonder what they’ll say now it turns out the State Department is doing the same thing?
In a recent Pit thread, someome claimed that the recent outbreak of scandals is Hillary getting revenge for Obama throwing her under the bus regarding Benghazi. After this latest scandal, I’m starting to wonder if that theory might not have something to it. Perhaps this is some sort of “cold war” between Hillary & Obama, and their respective camps. If so, I can’t wait to see what sort of retaliatory scandal might be unleashed against the prez…
I’ll be surprised if it turns out to be true. Even if the* Human Events/NY Post *story is true - and they don’t have great track records - it amounts to *one whistle blower claiming *Howard Gutman solicited prostitutes, including minors.
A fairly brief article, with 4 " 'supposedly’s or allegedly’s " in it, from a masthead that identifies itself as partisan? I’ll wait for some more mainstream, less partisan reporting, I think.

Apparently, none of you watch TV news, because this was a major story this morning. The first link was simply the first thing that popped up when I googled “state department scandal.” The CNN story goes into more detail about some of the other alleged coverups.
