Another day but not another dollar

Today, March 26, marks my 75th birthday. I’ve lived for 3/4 of a century and I find that fact hard to believe. I never expected to live this long and I’m not all sure that I wanted to. At any rate I must have learned something in all that time but I’m not sure what that something is----other than to take life one day at a time.

I still have no idea of what I want to be when I grow up.

Happy Birthday, Louis, and many happy returns. It’s a strange business, being a mortal.

Happy Birthday. I hope I make it that far, I’m happy you did, gives me some hope.

A happy one to you and here’s hoping you never grow up!

That’s why people are always asking kids the same question - they’re looking for ideas.

It’s my mom’s bday today, she’s 83 and still going strong so keep on keeping on.

Happy birthday, old man! If you figure out any secrets, please share with those of us who are right behind you.

A fireman?

Happy Birthday, LouisB, and many more after that.

Happy birthday LouisB. I’m glad to hear you still don’t know what you want to be when you grow up. Now I don’t feel so bad about not being able to figure that out myself. (Comedian Paula Poundstone says that’s why adults are always asking kids what they want to be when they grow up – they’re looking for ideas!)

Thanks for the good wishes; I would have posted my thanks earlier but I was engaging in the elder’s favorite indoor spot: Napping.

Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday!

Gigolo.

Happy birthday!

This has turned out to be a decent day; my sister and my oldest niece prepared my favorite meal (lasagna) and instead of a birthday cake, they whipped up a key lime pie. If I die tonight, I’ll die happy.
