Agreed, the buyer holds all the power. Sure, the seller has the money, and the merchandise, and has first hand knowledge of the state of the merchandise, and first hand knowledge of when the merchandise will be shipped, and is in complete control of the packaging and shipping arrangements. but the buyer holds all the power because… they can complain.
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, the power to complain is paramount. Just look at what this buyer was able to accomplish. He was able to return some filthy smelly trash that he thought was a quality product, and got his money back. All he had to do was complain for 2 weeks and pay out of pocket to ship it back. That poor seller is just going to have to put his smelly garage sale leftovers up for sale again. On the plus side, unlike a garage sale, the buyers won’t know how shitty it is until they’ve spent $20 on it, and face an irritating process to get their money back, so the seller has a chance to make a sale.
