Another Horrifying Pit Bull Story

When will this madness end? Oh, the felinity!

Or as a friend of mine likes to say, “Oh, the dogmanity!”

Oh that is just awwwwww.

That dog has a lot of self-control.

How come the kitten was jumping so lopsided? Does it have spinal cord damage or something?

That’s really cute. It’s like the cartoon “Feed the Kitty” brought to life.

Adorable! Though I kept worrying that the dog was going to accidentally mouth the kitten a bit too hard and then the kitten wouldn’t work any more .

Some of the snips at the end, where the dog was lying in its bed with the kitten on top - doggy was looking up at the camera with those sad, “why do you let him do this to me” eyes!

IANA cat person, but I know that dogs, rabbits and people can jump sideways at will, and I assume this applies to other mammals as well. Nothing else about the kitten’s behavior indicated any problems with its spine.

Oh, yeah: awwww! :3

Sometimes cats will present themselves sideways in order to look bigger. Like humping the back and making the fur stand on end. It’s an intimidation tactic, though, considering the size difference with the pit bull, it’s a tad futile. But good training.

Standard goofy attack cat posture.

Our Staffordshire Terrier/German shepherd mix used to play with our kitten in *exactly *that same manner. Since they’ve both grown up a bit, they don’t ‘fight’ anymore, but they are still best friends.

It’s the Apocalypse!

What a cute little face-hugger! Loved the music too.

That’s some weapons-grade cute, there.

I don’t think that’s a pitbull. Cute vid none the less.

Spike appears to be an American Pit Bull Terrier-- sometimes called a pit bull, but not to be confused with the bull terrier or bulldog (which are also called pit bulls).

Bull is a funny word.

Great video.

Our (non-pit) mutt, Olive, always adopted the foster kittens we used to bring home. She was always super-careful not to hurt them, and would even let them try to nurse on her. It was adorable. Now we live in New England, though, and don’t find abandoned kittens every other day, so we haven’t had that fun in a while.

Sooooo cute

Here’s my pit and “her” kitten

No no, when cats and dogs are living together it’s mass hysteria!
