Thanks again everyone. It’s just so strange not to see him lounging around the house. There’s a big fat-cat-shaped hole in my life.
We are thinking of adopting a 1 or 2 year old cat in need of a home. We like having a 3 cat household and it would be nice to spoil another furball in need.
We should get his ashes back next week, and we’ll probably save his collar and his teddy bear toy next to the urn/box.
It’s tough. I’m finding little orange hairs on my clothing still. But really, he couldn’t have been adored more by the both of us, and thankfully he was never in any pain or endured any trauma. I hate that we weren’t there for him when he died, but hopefully it was quick.
