Another moderator retirement? Thia isn’t just another moderator retirement this is seismic. Dex is one of those very few who are the SDMB for me. His magisterial presence, broad and deep knowledge, biting wit and gravitas will be sorely missed.
I hope his retirement has nothing to do with the disagreement among staff of late over suggested improvements for one of the forums.

When Dex was on the Board, he always classed up the joint. When posters misbehaved or acted like total jerks, he was usually the one who voted for giving them one more chance. When mods were cranky to a new, clueless poster, he always stepped in and tried to make nice. His puns were the worst(best)!
