They are actually cousins, and their real last name is “Brothers.”
He said he saw it on a documentary (this was about 10 years ago).
I’ve been unable to verify it one way or the other.

The IMDb says they’re brothers. I don’t know if that’s worth anything, but they’re usually pretty accurate.
