Another question

How does one go about choosing a down comforter/duvet. I know they go by how heavy or light you want them, but also how do you choose which design…in other words, which one keeps the feathers on you, not slid down to the edges of the comforter? I’ve searched the net but haven’t come up with anything yet.
Thanks,

Whenever I’m shopping for one, I look for stitched designs that sort of hold the feathers in place. They have ones that have curly designs like embroidery sewn onto the surface that seem to hold up pretty well. I’ve found that ones with the vertical channels sticthed in simply make the feathers squish and ball up toward the bottom. In reality, but the more expensive the comforter, the more likely it is to hold up under use.

The internet isn’t really a good place to shop for comforters. I would suggest a good bedding shop so you can inspect the quality before purchasing it.

When you buy one, make sure you fluff it out before you make your bed every day to try to keep it in shape.

Good luck.

You couldn’t find a title more vague than that? Maybe “another general question”?

Thanks to all for the information. I had done a little offline research and was glad to have your thougts and suggestions. I think the wisest thing would be to buy the one that I think is right for me and if it isn’t, take it back.

As for you, Sailor,I have to admit that it probably wasn’t the greatest subject title that I used in my post, but hey, I’m a newby. If you were teasing me…well, you’d better use a smiley face or something…just so I’ll know your mood.

Again, thanks for helping me out.
