Another Router Problem Question

Inspired by the other router thread…

So, I have comcast cable internet service (via a Motorola modem) and a Belkin router. Usually once a day, the router drops my service. At least, I assume it’s the router, because when I unplug the router and plug it back in, everything starts working again.

What’s the problem? Is this a standard issue with cable modem providers? Or is my router just crappy?

As was suggested in the other thread, easiest way to start troubleshooting is to disconnect the router and connect your computer directly to the cable modem to see if the drops keep occurring.
