Another stupid T-shirt...

…not a military thing, so I thought it best to start a new one.

So I’ve started seeing some shirts around here.
“Here” would be the Rio Grande Valley, deep south Texas, more than a third of Mexico is north of us. It has been, and will alway will be, profoundly Hispanic in population, culture, and bias.

Anyways, the shirt: "Pink Cheese, Green Goes"

Say it out loud, and it’s “Pinches Gringos” That’s “Fucking White Motherfuckers”, nearly.

Now. I am not a light-skinned guy. I cross over well enough to live, work, and marry down here without getting into it… But what would happen if I wore a t-shirt that said "FUCKING MEXICAN WETBACK DOUCHEBAGS " ?

Yeah, I’d die. Pinche mojado needledick flyfucker at the pulga…

God, I love multi-lingual swearing!

Okay, that cracks me up.

Am I the only one who doesn’t get it? Pinches gringoes? What? Should I have taken Spanish in high school?

Considering those of us who’ve posted so far are awfully close to Mexico, I wouldn’t pay it too much mind. We’re probably the demographic that would be around enough Spanish speakers to understand it.

I did. Doesn’t help.

I keep thinking of the Honda SUV commercial, with the car chatting with a crab. The car rambles on about surfing, but the crab says only,

I peench.”

I laughed every time I saw it, but now I wonder if I was missing a pun in Spanish.

I love that commercial! I do it all the time to my husband and we laugh like loons. But I don’t think you’re missing anything there. It’s just great comedic timing and accent usage. I can swear in spanish pretty well. You can’t live down here and not pick that sort of thing up over the course of thirty some years.

I get the impression that “pinches” in this case is a Spanish word, not the English third-person present tense of “pinch.” I don’t know specifically what it means, but I gather it’s a derogatory adjective; the OP used the singular form of it in the final line of his post, which I also didn’t understand.

Guys, the OP basically says what it means.

For all the people who are having trouble reading, the stuff after “That’s” and before “nearly” in that sentence is the English translation.

Well, I’m not terribly close to Mexico (other side of the gulf), but we have a large Mexican population in Florida (along with Cuban and Puerto Rican), and I studied Spanish in school. I was actually complimenting **Darth Nader’s ** multilingual swears in the last line of the OP, though.

Well, by golly. Everyone else in this thread fails to understand the Spanish, and I go misunderstanding the English!
