Another Wildfirehas begun burning in Boulder Canyon, just a few miles from the last one less than a month ago that burned 10k acres +. This is highly unusual for this time of year…wow! I am happy I am south of the fire and the wind is blowing the exact opposite way. I may leave to go help - lots of people who work here have homes up there, and the wind is really blowing - 25knots at least right now.
That sucks, Boulder county is really pretty. I hate to see it burn.
I don’t normally like to praise/trash specific insurance companies online, but I gotta say Chubb really stepped up during the Fourmile fire last month. Sure, it was kinda mercenary to protect only the homes they insure, but it was a brilliant business decision from a service and financial standpoint.
Yeah, I saw the smoke this morning on my way to work. With the wind we have been having, it could really be a problem…
