I have 3 dogs - Great Dane - Huckleberry, German Shepherd - Zebadiah, and boxer - Rigatoni. Santa brought each of them a Wobble Wag Giggle Ball. When the ball is rolled around or moved, it makes a weird giggle sound. Huck is scared to death of it and Zebby is a little unsure of it but will play with it on occasion. On the other hand Rigatoni is obsessed with this thing. He would play with it 24 hours a day if I let him. The racket can be quite annoying. I let him play with it outside in the snow and he has a grand old time. It sinks down in the snow and he digs like his life depends on it. I have to take it away and hide it when we want peace and quiet. But if he knows where I put it, he’ll sit, stare and whine.
Rascal occasionally gets very territorial about the fact that there is a cat which comes up on my deck. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I’ve been putting out food for it, and for some reason the fact that there is a cat on the other side of the glass door eating offends him. He will sit there staring at it until it finishes eating and starts heading for the stairs leading to the back yard. Then Rascal will suddenly got into attack mode, hissing and fluffing up as he “chases” it away. Note that the other cat is totally unphased by this, and will sometimes even stop before it gets to the stairs and look at him, as if to say “what’s your problem?”, before heading down the stairs. Rascal will stay there after it leaves, fully prepared to repel the invader if it returns.
What a fabulous for a boxer! Perfect for a wriggle-butt who loves an active toy.
My wife has been down with some sort of stomach crud for the last couple of days. Our dog has been very solicitous to her. He gets up on the couch with her, puts his head in her lap, and says, I know what will make you feel better. Here, you can pet my head and scratch my ears.
