Anti-war, or pro-Mercedes. One of the two.

Assorted protest (and the occasional “Support Our Troops”) signs have been springing up like so many crocuses on the bridges and walkways that span the major roads in the Twin Cities. Yesterday, cruising eastbound on I-94, I spotted my favorite yet.

Handpainted on what looked like a torn white bedsheet, in bold red and blue, was a Mercedes logo.

It was good to know that in these troubled times, at least one of my fellow Americans is in full support of German-manufactured luxury cars.

All we are saying,
is give a real nice car a chance!

I’m trying to remember, don’t the old peace signs from the '60s look like an upside down Mercedes icon?

Peace sign.

Mercedes logo.

So close, and yet so very far.

You should make your own with a big Chevy logo on it…Buy American dammit!

Heh…
