:smack: Cecil, i have recently purchased a old hand held vacuum cleaner that works great. I’ve been trying for weeks to collect a little history behind it with no success to date. Maybe if I give you what info I have you can help?? Here goes:

                                                            1) On the side of the dust bag in big bold 
                                                                  letters is written SweeperVac.
                                                            2) On the back of the motor housing on a
                                                                  little brass label is written, from top to
                                                                 bottom 110 volts ac or dc below that is
                                                                  SweeperVac, below that is this serial
                                                                  number c12119, below that is written 
                                                                  Handette and finally below that is 
                                                                  written Worcester, Mass. and that's it.

I did find a link that referred to it at www.Kaleden.com as " The SweeperVac of the Worlds 1915 Expo. this only led me to a dead end :(:frowning: By pokin around a little more i found an address of a Sweeper Vac Co. formally at this address 166 Fremont St. Worcester, Mass. I couldn’t find anything about that either. I have written numerous people and visited a dozen web sites and still no answers. I would like a little back ground about this vac. I think it’s a real find !!

We’re delighted you’re delighted with your find, but this ain’t exactly The Antiques Roadshow here. This is not our department any old way you look at it.

I searched the USPTO for SweeperVac and Sweeper Vac trademarks, and got nothing that seemed relevant. If there’s a patent number on the vacuum, you might try searching on that.
