Anti-vax precedes COVID. My cousins have been deeply committed anti-vaxxers for decades.
My covid vaccination made me deathly ill in 2024. Fortunately, I recovered.
This was my immediate thought when I read the OP. Guy seems desperate to assert his manliness.
I suppose that we should pity someone like this, as he’s a victim of social and religious mores, but it’s difficult to feel pity for someone who acts like this.
Here’s an article that discusses those questions. Sounds like with proper treatment, not a life-threatening / life-changing thing. As always, the risk has to be balanced against the known risks of Covid itself.
