My guess is that people at Paramount are desperately trying to figure out how this changes marketing of the new Star Trek film. It’s supposed to premiere at the end of next month. Do they run commercials emphasizing his character? Could, perhaps, the film be rewritten to give his character a noble death scene?
Poor guy. I’ve had the same happen to me. I hate the fucking electronic parking brakes. With the old manual lever it never happened. On my new VW the parking brake is a small button you push down to unlock and pull up to lock. And you have to do it while pressing the brake pedal.
To me the natural action would be push to lock, but by analogy with the old system it is reversed. And there is no feedback at all other than a tiny light. And you have to remeber to engage the foot pedal at the same time.
Fucking thing will get me killed some day. RIP Anton.
It’s my understanding that he was a single father. I don’t know the details about why there is no mother in the child’s life.
His parents were world class Soviet ice skaters, who were forbidden to travel to the Olympics because they were Jews.
Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are under contact to appear in a fourth Star Trek film, should one be made. I guess that depends on the box office for the upcoming film. As for Chekov, they could always promote him to lieutenant and have him transferred off-ship. Perhaps to the USS Reliant?
I don’t get this. Everyone puts their car in “Park.” Never in my life have I left the car in neutral and applied the hand brake. Am I missing something here?
Chekov is an integral part of the Star Trek oeuvre; they’ll just recast him; no one will care. There’s plenty of examples of franchises re-casting characters and it never matters to audiences at all (Iron Man franchise, Dark Knight franchise, etc.).
