I assumed you meant nothing but compliments calling me “slick”? Just trying to help, and I have a lot of familly and friends voting for Bush, so if I could borrow one of thiers, for purposes of this thread’s rules.

Actually the quote was credited to his then wife Kim Bassinger while doing an interview for a magazine, but she was referring to statements Alec had made.
I’ll probably hold my nose and vote for Bush, as things stand now.
Having said that, I’m seriously considering leaving my party–the GOP. They’ve gotten in bed with the Religious Right and there seems to be no separating them now. I loved what my party used to stand for, the ideas on which it was built. I understand things evolve but they usually evolve for the better. I used to proud to say ‘I’m a Republican’, now, not so much. Hell, I knew I was going to be a Republican since I was 16 and joined as soon as I was old enough to vote!
I will not become a Democrat, however and things would have to get pretty bad (read: Hell freezing over) before I vote for Kerry.
It probably won’t matter, though, as Maryland’s a traditionally Democrat state and I’d be very surprised if Ehrlich (our first Republican Gov since Agnew) can deliver us to Bush.
