Got a new phone recently. (Cool pad Quatro Metro pcs)
For some reason my Andriod keyboard, which is the one I like to use, wont autocomplete my words for me. The only words it will bring up for me are the ones I have in my contacts or the very few words I have in my dictionary.
I was hoping to get around this glitch, there was some app out there that would fill my user’s dictionary for me.
This or any other fixes you guys think will work would be great.
Thanks.
FTR: I already went in to setup and made sure auto complete is turned on. Also, autocomplete does work on my other input methods such as Flex T9 or Google input.
I also tried battery out and then reboot to no avail.
Thirding Swiftkey. You can let it populate your dictionary from your texts. your Facebook postings or your Twitter feed, but even without doing this it has a fantastic predictive ability.
I believe Swype has an even better predictive engine than Swiftkey and a better dictionary. You can download Swype Beta from here (it’s not on the Market): http://beta.swype.com/
Also the stock keyboard in the upcoming Android 4.2 will have built-in swype capability
Smart Keyboard is good at auto-complete, too. I’ve heard good things about SwiftKey, just haven’t tried it (found Smart Keyboard first and like it, so have no urge to switch).
