Either in flyable condition, or can be brought back to flyable condition. 12 would do nicely, preferably the RB-58, as the nuclear plumbing is not required. Figure we can swap out the original radar and install one from an F-16, swap out the J-75’s and install F-110’s and we should be good to go.

Yup, someone mentioned in another thread that nothing in the bomber fleet is capable of lugging the MOAB around, it took an MC-130, with what looked like the ballistic missile deployment drag shute.

Nitpick: It’s Davis-Monthan.

The B-58 was retired in 1970, and all surviving planes except for eight were scrapped in 1977. The eight survivors are on display in various locations.

I had a toy B-58 as a kid. One of my favorite things. Wicked looking plane!
