Anyone who is a fan of nautical adventures in the Alastair MacLean/Nicholas Montserrat/C.S. Forrester vein has hopefully already discovered Brian Callison. I’ve eagerly read books like The Auriga Madness , The Sextant, and A Flock of Ships.
Lately, Callison seems to have been reduced to producing middling sequels or pale copies of his earlier books (e.g. Trapp’s Peace and A Plague of Merchantmen).
Has anyone found any outstanding recent Callison, or any other other new great writers of nautical fiction?
