I don’t know whether the OP’s question trivializes the Tragedy.
I am certain, though, that the Ace Bailey murdered on September 11, 2001 was not a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame (the HHOF Ace Bailey having passed away in 1992 at the age of 88).
I have no idea where handsomeharry’s coming from. I found out today that a guy I’ve been dealing with for years had his Dad murdered in the WTC last week. He’s a strong person and he’ll get through it.
Speaking of celebrities, I heard James Wood, the actor, took one of the Boston flights exactly one week before and was in first class with 4 mideastern men who acted so suspiciously and nervously, he reported them to the airlines. Then after the real thing, he called the FBI and they interviewed him at length. They think it was a dry run. I heard this on talk show Tuesday, Anyone else hear about that?
I heard about the possible dry run, I didn’t know James Woods was witness to it.
I don’t see how it’s tasteless to mention celebrities in this tragedy. I grieve and mourn for the people there, and I cry almost every time I see a person on TV looking for their loved one. And when I heard Barbara Olson had died, I grieved for her, and her husband. I am somewhat of a movie buff, and knew who Berry Berenson was (sister to Marisa Berenson!) and I knew a bit about her marriage to Anthony Perkins. (There’s an interesting story behind it, I remember reading an interview about them.) So yeah, I was really sad to hear that she’d died. Same with David Angell, a producer on one of my favorite shows, “Frasier”. I’m sad for all of these people, the people who aren’t famous, and the people who are.
The Ace Bailey murdered on 9/11/01, was, however, the head of pro scouting for the LA Kings. Also, an assistant scout was on the plane. Can’t say I recall his name off the top of my head, though.
Could it be a different guy? I’ve seen this in the Vancouver Province, complete with a picture, and it was mentioned on TV. The Ace I’m talking about was 52. Maybe a father-son deal?
