I’m sloooooooooooooooowly working on my English-Chinese/Chinese-English translation skills. What I’ve done so far can be read here.
I’ve managed to keep up my conversational skills, but lack of immersion in the culture has still resulted in some very awkward phrasing. Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated.
I think it’s pretty decent - me, I can read Mandarin and English, but don’t as me to write or to translate!
I ran across some of the poems you trired to translate before. For example, the beans and the pot one in Chapter 79 of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I also have with me a couple of Chinese/English articles on the subject of translating languages.
