Looking for some cool Windows (Vista if it matters) screensavers. As the title suggests I do not want any ads or other tag-alongs with it. I also want it to be free (free as in legally free).
I’ve Googled for some but you get a bonanza of not free stuff/ad supported stuff near everywhere I look.
I prefer designs that move in some random fashion to static pics with fish floating around or lighting striking something. That said if you think something it really cool by all means share it regardless of what I said.

Electric Sheep. It’s a collaborative screen saver- basically, you vote on patterns you like, and you and everyone else influence the next random “generation”. I had it for a while- it’s pretty cool.
Thanks…trying it out but unfortunately I do not have many sheep yet so the display is limited and, so far, not rendered at a high enough resolution for my tastes. Have not been able to find a setting to improve that.
Add to that I cannot seem to get it to display on my two monitors (only displays on one despite my telling it I have two).
Hoping it will improve with some new sheep and a bit more fiddling.

Ack…Electric Sheep is only 640x480 resolution. They say this is to save on server space but geez…
Supposedly you can render at higher resolution yourself using Apophysis but not sure if I want to go to that much trouble.
The economist has a cool one that shows a map and facts and figures about countries ect. Windows only though.
When it comes to free and cool screensavers, you kind of already have to know what you’re looking for if you don’t want to be bombarded by advertisements.
If you’re a fan of The Matrix, this one should do nicely. It is from preVista/7 days so I don’t actually know if it’ll work on your machine.
