-Pre-Clinton presidency? Nope.
-The Soviet Union? Nope.
-I’ve never even seen a record player.
-How did people survive without StraightDope.com?!?
-It depends…what music do you listen to?
-I never go to arcades anyways.
-I remember when all of those movies were released…surprisingly.
-Speaking of which, no, I don’t actually…
-Yes, if we met, I’d probably call you Mr. TheVool.
-Er…nope, you’re the first one I’ve met who’s ever gone into shock about this.
Yikes! All of you stay far away from me!!
mumble mumble EVIL SUCCUBI mumble mumble
… confused? Aske the burning fruit! She knows!
Haha, MaxTheVool is old!
Look here young Vool!
I assume you probably:
- don’t remember where you were when Kennedy was shot
- don’t remember the Cuban missile crisis
- have never played a 45 record
- don’t remember using phones by rotating the dial and releasing it
- don’t like Elvis or the Beatles (I may just be wrong on this one!)
- don’t remember the excitement of Pong (or indeed the first Apple Mac)
- don’t remember the TV series of Batman (POW! KERRUNCH!)
- never used a hole punch to correct your computer program
- think of me (51) as a chap ready for retirement
I’m 17, soon to be 18 (in February).
You’re 150?? Wow!
Watch out Giraffe might mistakenly proposition you!
Now you’re just being silly.
Of course I’m actually 105.
(Thank you, I’m here all week! )
Monica is one-third glee’s age.
If their combined ages are 68, how long does it take glee to get up in the morning?
-I wasn’t alive yet
-I wasn’t alive yet
-Actually, we had those when I was growing up
-Actually, we had those when I was growing up
-No and yes
-I remember trying out a LISA in a computer store, actually
-I remember it
-Correct
-I prefer not to think about it. That way I can convince myself I’ll never be older than, say, 33 or so
Actually, I do. I remember watching the news when I was about three and seeing President Bush I waving out the window. I got all excited and told my mom “Look! President Bush is waving out the window!”
Not a thing.
I have used a record player. I wanted to hear a particular song once, and the only copy we had was on a record. So I had my dad show me how to work our record player.

I do in fact remember my life up until when I was 8. However, I cannot remember life without a computer. I played some letter game involving on a 386 running Windows 3.0 with a green monochrome moniter as a little kid.
I actually listen to classic rock more often than I listen to anything made in the last 10 years. Except the Beatles, who are highly overrated and have produced amazingly mediocre songs that for the life of me I can’t understand why they’re so popular.
Nope. All the arcade machines at the local pizza place cost at least half a buck.
Nope.
Nope
Probably.
Doesn’t really bother me.
Classical and showtunes, mainly, with a bit of The Beatles and Queen thrown in.
I was fifteen for a brief period from 1997 to 1998.
No. If my past actions are any indication, everyone in this thread is way too old for me.
*:: hangs head in shame :: *
I haven’t been 15 since the Clinton Administration. I’m an old foggey.
OK, that does it. Go to your room!
I’ll be fifteen next year.
Patience, Giraffe. See how Hot Buttered Toast progresses? One day, one day just a few short years from now your dreams may yet be realized.
Linkey? Story? C’mon, spill the beans - what’d you do?
(sigh)
