Hell yeah! I was thinking about Thompson recently, and wondering if his books are in print. His writing is very rich, isn’t it? He was good at story-telling, good with characters, good all around.
It’s been years since I read him, and I remember being enthralled, and a bit shocked at the sex, er, eroticism.
He crossed hard-boiled with lushness (lushivity? lushism?) and it sure worked.
Damn. I’m off to Amazon again.
