I just discovered Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout on tap at a new place near me. Fantastic stuff. Brought home a growler on Saturday.

I like to try new beers and don’t mind seasonal attempts. I just picked up a case of the Sammy Adams seasonal sampler at Costco. Trying the Cherry Chocolate Stout even as I type this. It’s interesting. There are 5 flavors plus the normal Sam lager. I reckon it will take me until January to slowly work my way through the case (and I generally have a few beers per day). A little variety for the winter but I doubt if any of the flavors will make it onto my preferred list.

Here in Mexico we have Noche Buena. Delicious and it is 5.9%. It is a seasonal brew. I once bought it in January for a reduced price. 25 cents a bottle. What a score!
