Any interest in making this a summer Dopefest? How about July, a weekend after the 4th of July?
Reading my mind, eh? I came here to see if anything was going on with this. I’m game if the weather’s good (ha!) and the location works.

The Cubs are in town that weekend and the previous one. Parking will go from “none” to “none-squared,” and every bar and eatery in Lakeview will be packed. June 28,29 and July 19,20 and July 26,27 they are away.
How does July 19 or 20 work out for everyone?

Unfortunately, that’s the one weekend of the summer I’m out of town. But you guys have a good time and I’ll catch the Fall edition.

Can we PLEASE pick somewhere that has paring nearby or at least access to the el?
I believe we were looking in Lake View, someplace not too far from the El. D’Agostino’s has been suggested, but I’m open to anywhere in Lake View, just want a place with beer and food and, of course, separate checks 
There’s a fun place called Cheesie’s at Belmont and Sheffield. It’s basically a pub, where you pay the bartender as you go (no problem with separate checks) and you can order food if you want (great variety of grilled cheese sandwiches and other stuff). It’s very close to the Belmont el stop, and there is paybox parking on the street.
Just a thought.

Swear to god, man! I’ll do it! If we don’t get a time, date & place, I’ll turn this thread around and it’ll be beachfront cigars, rum and these really nice ham and roast pork sandwiches grilled with swiss cheese and dill pickle (your choice of two sides) for everyone and no one wants that!

July 20 was the proposed date, and it looks like it might be the best of possible days in the Wrigley/Lake View area. Kelly Clarkson plays at Wrigley on the 20th, I don’t know how big she is these days, but if we’re going to be in the Wrigleyville area, might want to look at the early part of the afternoon.
